Smash and Crunch CHI, Break Off PHILA, Awesometown LA and more

A pretty clear event of the night, as the final Smash and Crunch goes down in Chicago at Liars Club (1665 Fullerton Ave) Josh Rodriguez and Urb Magazine are doing it up real big to close out 2007 with two floors of dance madness called "Happiness...Is A Warm Club." Love it. You will love getting to see Johnny from Guns 'n' Bombs, The Glamour, Jason Tyler, Willy Joy, Local Hero, Joe Vortech, Menowah, Yoko Homo live, Mr. Automatic, C-Mass, DJ Demchuck and Hillary Rawk. Whew, I actually took a nap after writing all of that. To make it an even more of an event, the one and only Cobrasnake will be in the building documenting the debauchery with photography. It's like New Year's Eve but 5 days early and sans the amateur drinkers. RSVP ASAP to smashandcrunch@gmail.com for reduced $5 admission, $3 shots of Kilo Kai rum shots.

-Back in Philly, there looks to be another cool party starting up at The Barbary (951 Frankford Ave). This one's called Break Off and features DJ Bunnystyle and DJ Alex spinning "hip-hop, filthy synth, ghetto beats, dirty house, club and a little pop to wash it down." You have me at filthy, guys. I mean, if you read this blog, I can't imagine that you won't want to check out this new monthly that goes down the last Wednesday of every month. No cover, 21+, 10-2 am.

-Can't stop, won't stop, the Dance Robots, Dance crew keep right on going after their big Christmas party with their weekly Robotic Wednesdays party at Electro Lounge (5929 N. May Ave) in Oklahoma City. I'm not sure how much they or you will have left after the previous nights mayhem, but you can think of this as the natural comedown. Or everyone just needs to find their inner robot and ignore the hangover and tiredness. Doors at 9pm, 21+.

-Finally, out in LA, Anne Lee and Shadowscene bring you another Awesometown. For this one, they've brought in Bloomington's Flufftronix and local stars noMSG and Gina Turner.
