24 Hour Party People Chicago

This one deserves its own post. I've been hyping Chicago a lot lately, and it's events like this one that help me know that I'm on the right path. 24 Hour Party People is a tribute to the life of Tony Wilson and the music of Factory Records and the Hacienda. The party is going down tonight, Saturday, at Sonotheque (1444 W. Chicago Ave.) and it features some great DJs spinning the amazing music of Manchester. Let's see, you get DJ sets from Brad Owen, my dudes Trancid and Mark Gertz of the Dark Wave Disco, Pogo and Arturo of Panic! and some special guests. It's hosted by Paulinchicago and CT Couture and presented by Blacklisted and Panic. Props to all of the people involved for doing something unique like this and huge props for giving half of the proceedds to a kidney cancer research foundation in Evanston. $10, 21+, 9-3, this is a great one Chicago.
