If the world seemed a happier place, it's because everyone on the East Coast woke up today to realize that the terrible weather has cleared and everything seems a little better. I mean, what a perfect day! These are baby-making times, hold your mami's hand times, girl watching in the park times, outdoor cafe times, i.e. happy times.

Cansei der Sexy's "Let's Make Love and Listen To Death From Above" is the perfect song for this time, greatest title evah, a beautiful laid-back, dance-y feel that is like a soundtrack for Spring. The real treat above is the Simian Mobile Disco remix, which really messes with the original. The UK boys turn this one into a bleeping, raging banger, 180 degrees difference and it works big time. Yeah! Diplo also turns in a nice one, although not sure it's dancefloor ready. It's slow and deliberate, but with a real choppy feel to it. The bass (?) almost sounds like it's been scratched by one-half of Hollertronix. Repeated listens only make me like this one more and more.

-The people of LA should be extra happy on this amazing day, as Blow Up LA is doing it rill big. Check out this DFA centric line-up - The Juan MacLean, Tim Sweeney, James Fucking Friedman, live set by Gold Chains, all the LA dudes like Daniel from Le Disko, Dirty Dave, Anne Lee, Dan Oh from Cinespace, Esca & Deekay, my dude Richie Panic from SF, so many more. It's two rooms at the Beachwood Lofts in Santa Monica (1110 Beachwood), Shadowscene's in the house, goes til 4, $8. Awesome.

-Not far behind is the co-event of the night, as Chicago gets to experience Radio Soulwax. This should be an amazing time. I got to experience pretty much this same line-up Wednesday at Studio B here in Brookyln and it was soooooo good. There's nothing quite like hearing "E Talking," all my troubles seemed so far away. Oh, Dave P and JDH killed it. I repeat, killed it. Tonight, they're joined by all my new fav DJs, Bald Eagle and Popstatic. It's at Metro (3730 N. Clark St.), 18+, go go go.

-You know your regular Saturday night stop in New York City. Project Matt's Saturdazed at Home Sweet Home (131 Chrystie St.) goes down tonight, with a special 4.20 (+1) version with Yamez. Take back the LES!

-No flier, but Dimitry of High Voltage is spinning at Beauty Bar (231 E. 14th St.), another good stop tonight for the NYC crowd and you can still say you've never been past 14th street!

-Finally, always good to hear from Boston, a city that seems to fly under the radar for the most part. Tonight (and every Saturday) Hot Fucking Pink takes over Axis (13 Lansdowne St) with dirty beats and dirty thoughts. DJs Michael Savant, Justincredible and Knowlton Walsh spin, free with rsvp at michaelsavant@yahoo.com. Shout out to the FGA, you're getting her back Boston, feel lucky.
