Oh boy, this one's like a Pound for Pound dream. One of the dopest producers in the game, Herve, becomes the Count of Monte Cristal and puts out an EP of ghetto house music. This is why we live people, this is why we get up every day and deal with this crappy world. So that we can hear filthy beats and sex obsessed lyrics and bass bass bass. What's really exciting about these tracks is the fact that they're much more house-y and upbeat, as opposed to ghettotech's more minimalist and brutal beats. I feel like this stuff will keep the dancefloor going and will hopefully give DJs a desire to give more of the ghetto house stuff a second look. The best of the bunch is the Sinden remix of "Ghetto Bitches," which wouldn't have sounded out of place in a DJ Funk set. Just a disgusting bass, although it's those clapping drums that make this track really go. The original is very good too, a few extra minutes and a more percussive sound. "Pussy Suck" is dope too, a nice track for the ladies, a nice balance to "the dick in your eye" sentiments.

Stop what you're doing right now and cop the vinyl for this immediately. We'll be keeping an eye on Counterfeet, really looking forward to see what sort of paths they take. Here's hoping they keep exploring this one.

-Another new edition to the party line-up, Even Further is another amazing downtown NYC party doing its best to make this city a little less lame. Carmine P. Filthy and Rudy Mungi are there every Thursday at Happy Ending (302 Broome St.), holding it down. Tonight they're joined by guest DJ Melanie Anne, expect dance bangers, house music, re-edits, funness. Happy birthday to Darya, who is a super nice person who tried to help me find a place in NYC. This is a necessary Thursday night stop, New York.

-Of course, Cheeky Bastard has a lock on this night with their weekly Hiro Ballroom (371 W. 16th St.) jawn. They've been bringing in the best bands and DJs to Manhattan over the past few months, no different tonight. It's The Broadcast Reunion with Michael T, DJ Jess, Alex Malfunction and Alex English, along with a set by Ultragrrl, the amazing DJ Krames of Cobra Kai and Peter Makebish.

-Speaking of new parties, Club Pop happens tonight in a city I've never mentioned before, Seattle. Resident DJs Colby and Paco bring you the only 18+ dance party in the land of grunge, they're joined by guest DJ Marty Mar and band Poor People. I love this flier, although sadly BAPE will soon steal this design and make it into a allover print hoodie and I'll have to look at douchebag after douchebag on the L wearing it and I'll end up hating the design. Oh well.

-Now, if BAPE made this flier into a hoodie, I'd show some love. Broadzilla motherfuckers! Upstairs at Sals! Free! $1 PBRs till 11! Lots of dancefloor dancing! Philly! Hugs and kisses!
